Memory is Ritual: A Remembrance of Ourselves
Memory is Ritual: A Remembrance of Ourselves is an exhibition created by artists in The Beautiful Project that explores the memories we are recalling and relearning about our bodies, souls, and spirits. In three short acts, this film offers the experience of recalling and relearning ourselves through rituals of lament, release, and hope. This project premiered at The North Carolina Museum of Art as a part of of their NC Artist Connection exhibition. I served as lead curator of The Beautiful Project’s exhibition as well as the director and producer of the film.
The Beautiful Project Journal, Editor
The Beautiful Project Journal is a digital publication that gives insight on the inner workings of a collective of Black women storytellers who choose to empower women & girls through words and images. As Editor, I’ve conceptualized all five published issues (2017-2023) and led an editorial team of writers, photographers, and designers.
under construction Project: Multimedia series, Producer
Under Construction is a multimedia online exhibit showcasing some of the best and brightest organizations working with males of color. The exhibition includes portraits, short documentaries, and written profiles of each organization. Here is a sample of a short video profile that I produced and co-edited.

The potter Violin company, Producer
A short documentary produced in Docs In Progress' Intro to Documentary Production class about the Potter Violin Company in Takoma Park, MD. Produced, filmed and edited by myself and fellow teammates Zahra Ahmed and Jabir Hassen.
